EmberClan's Origins
Following an early summer snow storm that resulted in vast flooding across the valley, all three original clans were forced to escape to the far side of the valley to survive. They made their way up to a grassy ledge where they would coexist for three moons. Once the waters receded the clans made preparations to head back and rebuild their territories. The evening before everyone was set to leave one last meeting was held with each leader instructing their clan how preparations for the journey. However a small group of cats stepped forward and said they would not be returning. They had fallen in love or built friendships across clan lines that they did not want to lose. So they would rather become loners than go back to their clans alone. The meeting devolved into arguments and each leader had their most loyal warriors stand watch over their clan members that night to guarantee nothing would happen.
That night the medicine cat apprentice of StoneClan was visited by the founders of the three clans and given a prophecy, instructing them to stay behind with those who did not want to return. They were given a clue as to who StarClan wanted to lead this group and that StarClan was recognizing them as a clan. Early that morning just before the sun rose that apprentice step up on the small rock shelf that had been the meeting area. They announced what they had seen and to show they were telling the truth the stars in the sky twinkled brightly before disappearing in the sunrise. The three clan leaders were displeased but felt they could not go against StarClan's wishes. They would leave those members behind that afternoon as they departed.
The remaining cats now only had a medicine cat apprentice to lead them; The apprentice was still trying to figure out who it was StarClan wanted to lead them. That evening there was several arguments as hunting patrols had not been sent out. As the apprentice was watching the sun set they realized who StarClan meant. They went to speak to that cat, Littlespark a young warrior formerly of MarshClan. Together they decided it was best to sleep on it and announce her leadership in the morning. That evening Littlespark was visited by the original three leaders, proving that the apprentice had informed the right cat. She was advised on the how to chose a deputy and keep the clan together, as she had only been a warrior in MarshClan. The apprentice was also visited again, though this time by her former mentor's mentor and was told she needed to go to the MoonCave with Littlespark were they would both receive their names.
In the morning the apprentice, followed by Littlespark would announce that both of them had been granted names by StarClan. Littlespark would go on to announce the deputy as well, a former EchoClan warrior, so all three original clans would be represented in the leadership; She hoped it would prevent any claims of bias or unfair treatment. Not long after the two would depart along with a pair of warriors to visit MoonCave. They would leave the new deputy in charge to start scouting for a new camp and send out hunting patrols. Once the two returned with their names they would work alongside the newly created EmberClan to find a new camp and establish a border for their new territory.
Common Attributes
Currently EmberClan has no set attributes as they consist of cats from all the other clans. They can range from shorthaired to longhaired. They come in just about any color or pattern, though white cats are not found as they do not exist in any of the clans. Those from MarshClan are strong swimmers, while EchoClan provides fast runners, and StoneClan provides strong climbers.
