Warriors Reborn does utilize the warrior code for our clans. Though like many other warrior's site we allow for select rule breaking to allow everyone the create the stories they wish. Below you will find the edition of the warrior code and unspoken rules we follow, along with several explanations on how we handle select rules.
Warrior Code
1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
While this site does allow cross clan relationships to occur, in-character they are forbidden and punishable if "discovered". Punishment can range from being banished from one's clan and left to be a loner or join their lover's clan(does require approval of other clan's leader and their lover to not have been banished themselves) to being stripped of their rank requiring them to go back to being an apprentice. All punishments are up to the clan leader and users of the respective characters. Right now there are no restrictions but if it turns out too many cross clan relationships are occurring this rule may be revised.
2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
3. Elders, queens, sick or injured cats and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.
4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
There is not a set method of time passing on this site and instead it is based on how fast one wants to move their characters. However kits can only be promoted through the status updates which occur monthly and whole litters must be promoted at the same time so it should be discussed with your character's siblings if they have any. In the same vein apprentices can only be promoted through status updates after they have 5 replies on their training thread.
6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires, or is exiled.
9. After the death, retirement, promotion (to a leader status), or exile of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
Once a user become the clan leader they will have a week to search for a deputy, typically through a try-out/application thread.
10. A Gathering of all Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
Gatherings will be held quarterly, typically around the solstices/equinoxes.
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
Leaders should make sure they have at least one patrol and one hunting thread each month. It is open to them as for how they assign/create them.
12. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan.
13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense.
15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
16. Each Clan has the right to be proud and independent, but in times of trouble they must forget their boundaries and fight side by side to protect the each other. Each Clan must help the others so that no Clan will fall.
Unspoken Clan Rules
1. Medicine cats may not take a mate or have kits.
Any medicine cat who has had kits will be removed from their position and retrained to become a warrior. They will be moved to the apprentice section until the next AC when they can be moved up to warrior. Unlike the cross-clan relationship, this rule will be kept and any medicine cat who has kits will be removed even if they "hide" it in rp.
2. Kits must remain in camp until they are apprenticed.
You are free to have kits escaping camp threads but please keep them within reason.
3. Cats may not eat the day they go to the Mooncave.
4. Cats either on their way to the Mooncave or the gathering are allowed to cross each other's territories as needed but must stay within two foxlengths(2 yards) of the border.
The exception is the Mooncave in which the cats need to stay within 1 yard of the riverbank while on EmberClan territory.
5. Cat may rightfully challenge their leader if they are tyrannical or otherwise endangering the clan.
Any user who wants their character to challenge a clan leader must discuss this with the leader beforehand. If they are to become the next leader the discuss must also include the current deputy. The exception is if the challenge is part of a clan plot.
