EchoClan's Origins
Before the clans existed and the valley was full of rogues and loners, a she-cat named Echo was done with tyrannical rogue leaders. So she along with a few close friends managed to over throw their leader. From there she would help to free other groups from their own fickle leaders who did not care for the wellbeing of their followers. Eventually the group reached a size were it was no longer possible to be nomadic which had always been the way of the cats in the valley. So when they were in the east end of the valley, sheltering under a rock her ancestors came to speak to her in a dream. They told her this wide meadow would be their new home.
The group would settle down and set up camp in a small dip in the meadow just under the next to where they would find many of their medicines. It is next to a small mountain stream fed pond. Over the following generations the cats would tunnel out the hill to create dens. Though in Echo's time the group would sleep mostly under the stars, sheltering in the brush around the pond in bad weather.
A few moons after they settled down in this new camp and were expanding their territory, Echo was contacted again by her ancestors. They told her of a rock she needed to head to the next full moon to meet two cats who shared her desires to lead the valley into prosperity. When they met they would agree to work together in order to drive the rogues out of the valley. Echo would be the one to suggest they meet up regularly to update each other. The following full moon they would be informed by Minnow of MarshClan of a special cave up in the mountains they could use to speak to their ancestors as need. When Echo went there she was granted nine lives and given the name Echostar. She would go on to lead EchoClan for many years and still to this day, decades later, is recalled as the best leader the clan has ever had.
Common Attributes
EchoClan cats are either short-haired or medium-haired, the sunny territory doesn't suit longhaired cats very well. Most of the cats are earth tones with a tabby pattern. Though orange cats have been known to exist as well, abet in paler shades that blend in a little bit better. In general most of the cats come in more muted shades. They tend to have long legs and slim bodies that help them move quickly. They are known as the fastest cats in the valley; they tend to refrain from boosting as they find it distasteful and believe it lowers one's intelligence. EchoClan tends to have sharper tongues and can always he counted on for a sarcastic remark. Still they do value neutrality, managing to control in their attitudes during times of conflict.
