Into the Wild Unknown [Open EchoClan]

    Runningfaith slipped out of the nursery after making sure all three of her kits were asleep. They were just about weaned completely at two moons old and were rather rambunctious when they were awake. As much as she adored them she needed a break. It had been hard with loosing her mate in the flood only to give birth one moon later in the temporary camp surrounded by the other clans. The clan was always there to help but it wasn't the same as having a partner in raising the kits. Though she couldn't complain as all three of her kits had been born healthy and were thriving. 

    Sitting in the midday sun, she stretched out to take in the warmth. It was pretty quiet in camp with all those able out hunting or remarking borders. While she wanted to help, she wasn't sure yet if she could leave her kits for that long. Perhaps once they fully weaned and she got over some of her first time parent anxieties. There was also the whole someone would need to watch them while she was gone, they were pretty good about listening but who knew what they would do if left on their own.

Tiny stone

Tiny stone called a greeting out to running faith her tail high as she trotted over. "Kits finally asleep?" She asked, her eyes glinting with amusement. Her belly bulged with unborn kits due in a quarter moon. She flicked her pale grey tail over runningfaiths ear, flicking the fly away. "lets grab something from the fresh kill pile shall we? The hunting patrol just came back so its still warm." She trotted over picking a fat Magpie and and settling down in the shade of a rock crevice her ears flicking as she enjoyed the magpie.

Stormrose greeted the queens with a quick freindly chat "Hey you two I see the kits are keeping you on your toes oh dear I hope they don't cause promblems when they become apprentices" she said with a meow of laughter, as she grabbed some supplies to help repair the camp. She looked at the fresh kill pile was it just her or did it look smaller then she remebered. She ignored that thought as she went to work trying to patch the nusery being mindful of the sleeping kits. It didn't look like it had the worst damage from the flood but it was best to repair it anyway, she picked up a bit of mud with one of her paws and patched a small hole in the roof in the nusery.

"Hello stormrose" tiny stone nodded a greeting as she rolled onto her side ready for a nap. She quickly dosed off dreaming about feasting on magpies, until a sharp pain jabbed her stomach. She groaned and sat up blinking the blur from her eyes.

Poppy kit
Poppykit woke up and yawned, shaking her fur out. She looked around her eyes widening when she realized her mother was gone. She opened her jaws to cry out until she saw her. She raced over tripping on a branch and tumbling into storm rose. She sat up her eyes even wider, "im so sorry!" She blurted out fluffing her orange fur out.

Stormrose looked at the kit "It's alright dear" she said with a purr, she gave a flick of her tail somewhat annoyed that she had woke up Runningfaith's kits. She looked at Poppykit "your mom will be back soon I think she is just wanting a break" she reassured the kit. There was no way she could work and watch a kit at the same time it would be to hard, so she insted talked to the kit about her time as a apprentice and how she had battled a raccoon

" a RACCOON!" She mewed her fur fluffing out and her eyes wide. " that's so cool! I wanna learn to fight like you!" She giggled jumping onto her chest fur and yowling with her whole heart as she nipped at her chin. " give in to me you foul raccoon! " she growled fiercely her ears flat.

Stormrose tried her best to imitate a Raccoon she made sure to be gentle with Poppykit. She pounced on Poppykit being very gentle not to hurt her she pretended to nip one of Poppykit's ears with her teeth. She was glad that the kits didn't seem bothered by the recent events. "Never try to take on a raccoon Poppykit there fierce fighters and could easily outsmart even the oldest of warriors" she said trying to give Poppykit some advice. She needed to get back to work on the dens, she gently half nudged half pushed Poppykit back in the nusery. "I have to get back to work now maybe one of your siblings will play with you" Stormrose said as she touched noses with Poppykit before leaving to check out the elder's den and examine the damange

Poppykit
"But there sleeping!" She flattened her ears as hurt glistened in her eyes. "You just don't like me!" She cried sprinting away towards the entrance of camp her orange tail flying in the breeze. She ignored the shocked glances from the other warriors as tears fell onto the dusty floor.


Tinystone(gave birth to 1 kit, marigoldkit.)
She licked the small bundle and picked the she-kit up, marigoldkit she decided and carried her into the nursery her ears flattening in shock as poppy kit raced past her. She tilted her head and looked questioningly at stormrose but carried on. She laid the kit down and sat by the nest.

Stormrose sighed she supposed checking the dens out could wait, it wasn't like she was ordered to fix the dens at least not yet and besides she felt bad for leaving Poppykit alone. She looked around for the kit's orange fur but couldn't find her she ran towards were Runningfaith was and told her what had happened. She was feeling guilty after all it was her that had tried to make freinds with the kit and then left her alone, it was her fault that Poppykit had ran away from camp part of her wanted to look for Poppykit and apoligize but she needed more help for that, even a warrior alone could face danger anywhere it wasn't ideal to search for her alone.

Poppykit ran tears streaming down her face and slid to a halt when she realized she was lost. She crouched down in fear forgetting most of her anger. She looked around heather blocking her view. She cried out her fur bushed out as she padded towards what she thought was camp.(ember clan border)

Tinystone called after poppykit "come back! Its ok!" To no avail. She flattened her ears as she paced around her only kid, marigoldkit. She licked her head her fear washing away as she curled up with her tiny kit. "What was that about?" She asked stormrose her eyes filled with concern for the tiny orange kit.

Stormrose looked at Tinystone "I might have something to do with her running off" she said to Tiny stone she was terrified for the kit there was so many dangers Poppy kit could face like dogs or wild animals like foxes or owls she sank her claws nervously into the ground it was something she always did when she was nervous

"what did you do!?" She grow!ed gently her fur spikeing up with terror

Stormrose looked at Tinystone and told her what she had done. She was so scared for the kit's safety it never occured to her that Poppykit would run away. She didn't care what happened to her the kit was more important. "Tinystone I am so sorry I never expected a kit to run away I thought she would stay in the nusery with the other kits" Stormrose said. She needed to decide what to do find the kit or stay in camp. Without hesitation she left to try and find Poppykit ignoring the looks of her clanmates as she ran past the entrance.

"You shouldn't have said that! She is a........ A kit that can't take someone not liking her" she finished quickly and went to watch the rest of the kits her gaze not leaving them, nor here own kit, marigoldkit.

Stormrose could smell the kit's scent she was near the clan border she followed the scent the best she could her paws leaving tracks on the softer ground. She was hungry having forgotten to eat before heading out but she couldn't hunt that would be breaking the code she promised to uphold. She was halfway to the border when she saw a fox it was lean and fit far healthier then she was right now. She looked at the fox she couldn't fight it alone that would be to dangreous as a fox was far faster then even the most swiftest of cats.
